Day 124: BEST. HALLOWEEN. PARTY. EVER.

Gary and I live on a short, dead-end street, so we’ve never had trick-or-treaters. Not one.

Last night, we decided to take matters into our own hands. We went out and walked around the neighborhood, stopping every miniature ghoul and goblin and fairy princess we met, handing out Kit Kats and Reece’s Peanut Butter Cups. We should have brought more. It was a Halloween feeding frenzy out there!

As we walked, we eventually heard party music coming from a cross street, and people pointed us in that direction for more willing candy-takers.

Gary captured the scene in this video as we arrived. DJ cranking tunes, little ghosts and butterflies getting their grooves on, parents hanging out by the S’mores bonfire. BEST. HALLOWEEN. PARTY. EVER.

I’m inspired. Next Halloween, we’re gonna do it up right. Our old Victorian house will make a perfect Haunted House, and we’ll put lighted lanterns and signs on the sidewalk to invite kids to pay our house a visit. This is gonna be SPOOKY.

And this morning - the first snow of the year! A perfect entree to the holiday season. (Is it too late to put up decorations? I say no!)
