Day 68: WVU Faculty Vote No Confidence

The WVU faculty voted by overwhelming margins today that they do not have confidence in the leadership of President E. Gordon Gee and that they want WVU leadership to freeze the “Academic Transformation” process.

The WVU Board of Governors immediately issued a statement that it “acknowledges” the votes but it “unequivocally supports” President Gee and will continue with plans to close 32 majors and cut 169 faculty members.
