Day 322: Revolution

Today, two of our Immigration Law Clinic students represented a client in an asylum interview with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.

They’ve worked closely with their client all year and this completed their work on the case — and in law school. I was proud of everyone.

I also celebrated another trip around the sun today. (USCIS did not seem to care.)

Gary took me out for dinner. I received many wonderful and thoughtful gifts and messages from Gary and other friends and family.

And after several days of travel, I re-established my usual daily habits of running, strength training, meditation, prayer, and walking to work.

Arthur Brooks says the secret to happiness involves four things: faith, family, friends, and work that serves others.

I guess you could say I had a pretty much perfect birthday.
