Day 259: Give $5, Unlock $30K for WVU Law Clinics!
March 20 is WVU’s Day of Giving. And with your help, the College of Law can unlock big gifts from major donors!
What If I Only Have a Small Amount to Give?
No problem! Even a $5 gift can have a HUGE impact on justice in West Virginia! Here’s how:
Many major gifts to WVU Law are unlocked by a target number of other gifts of any size, even as small as $5.
For example, the first 50 gifts of any size to the WVU College of Law Legal Clinics Fund in honor of Professor Marjorie McDiarmid will unlock a gift of $30,000 to the Law Clinics from the Lemotto Smith Trust!
Can I Give More than Once?
Yes!
If you believe in the that WVU Law Clinics do in our state, give early — give often!
Have $25 to donate to the cause? Give 5 separate gifts of $5 each and we’ll be 1/10 of the way to unlocking that amazing $30,000 gift!
Is There an Ideal Time to Give?
Yes!
In addition to unlocking gifts like the one above, your gift made during target hours can help the College of Law compete for additional gifts.
For example, 7 to 8 a.m. on March 20, WVU Foundation will sponsor a “Most Gifts Challenge.” Academic units at WVU will compete to see who can bring in the most gifts of any size during that hour, with thousands of dollars of additional funding available to the leading units.
I’ll be on social media encouraging folks to make donations of any size to WVU Law during that hour. Again — give early, give often!
