Day 218: The Right to Migrate … Then What? on Substack

I came across some letters from a Swiss immigrant to Pennsylvania in 1736. If people today have a right to migrate in search of a better life, it’s hard to say the Rhinelanders didn’t. For me, these stories from the past make the answers for today much less simple, no matter where you stand in the debate. Maybe if we begin to recognize the complexity of these questions, we might at least loosen the deadlock. This week from How We Got Here, on Substack.
