Day 178: Wishing You a Peaceful Christmas

Christmas Night.

I still have my usual worries and concerns. You probably do too.

But those will still be there tomorrow. Next week, you and I can make New Year’s Resolutions.

Today, we have a choice. Today — if even just for one day — we can choose peace.

All Is Calm

Take ten minutes apart. Sit quietly. Breathe deeply, smell the pine. Appreciate the blessing of this moment. Breathe deeply again.

Gradually — if we don’t try to control it in any way — the brain settles into a slower pattern. Different images emerge, then pass away, like a child blowing bubbles. Smile, let them dissolve.

Say a prayer.

And have a peaceful Christmas night.
