People often ask me “How can we solve the immigration crisis?” For a while now, I’ve felt like the answer is “We can’t” - if by “we” they mean the law.
That doesn’t mean I think the crisis will continue. Not like it is now, anyway.
Technology will disrupt all aspects of society - immigration included. Imagine transformative AI … nonlocal communities in the metaverse … affordable civilian space travel …
Now what does immigration law look like?
I say this because I can see how policy has affected immigration in the past - and how much of immigration had nothing to do with policy.
