180: Sudden Onset Holiday

On December 21, Governor Jim Justice declared December 29 a holiday for West Virginia state employees, which WVU will observe.

Unfortunately, the unexpected holiday doesn’t change the deadline for finalizing fall semester grades. Since staff members who usually help with that multi-step process won’t be available on Friday, the work of grading exams suddenly got accelerated by one day.

Hence today’s post is a little, um, shorter than usual …
