Day 312: Bye

Last night we were out late at a goodbye cookout in Preston County for a colleague who’s leaving the university because her department got eliminated as part of the “Academic Transformation” process.

This colleague had been instrumental in arranging for WVU to accept five Afghan women who fled Afghanistan during the Taliban takeover in 2021. The students and their host families threw the party.

It was a great evening. And it never should have happened.

We got back late enough that I collapsed into bed without even thinking about blogging (despite 311 days of practice).

So I’ll have to take a bye on this one.
