Day 309: All We Have Is Now. So Why Study the Past? on Substack

I’m a law professor, but I spend most of my research time on biography and history, not typical law professor fare.

I also completely buy pretty much everything Eckhart Tölle said in The Power of Now: The past is an illusion.

So why write history? I ask myself that a lot. The answer actually has everything to do with Now.

And I think Now is the only time we can solve the immigration crisis.
